June 13, 10:00 a.m. Virtual Meeting

Case Studies from a Death Investigator

All meetings this summer (June, July and August) will be held on Zoom only. For our June Zoom meeting, we'll be joined by someone with an extensive background in forensics and death investigation. She's from Las Vegas, but as she says, "Death is interesting no matter where you are in the world!"

Stacey Chepren, MFS, MSc, is a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran who served as a legal investigator for prosecution, defense, and victims’ counsel at stateside, overseas, and deployed locations. She managed thousands of federal criminal cases on major crimes trial teams, collaborating with local, state, and federal partners. Stacey also partnered with the University of Florida Maples Center of Forensic Medicine, conducting forensic research centered in medicolegal death investigation. Additionally, while stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada, she worked in the autopsy suite at the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner.

She is the Programs Manager for the International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners, managing the accreditation and training program and overall operations of the association, and founder/owner of Pegasus Forensics, LLC, a consulting firm providing forensic reconstruction, expert consultation, and witness testimony—specializing in death cases—for criminal and civil matters. She is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners, and National Association of Medical Examiners, serving on committees and presenting regularly.

Get your questions ready: Stacey promises to be a terrific presenter!
