Who Let the Dogs In?

MAY MEETING, Saturday May 13 at 10 a.m.

This month, we're honored to welcome Sergeant Erick Maldonado and his K9 companion.

Sergeant Maldonado has been employed with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department since 1995. His career has been spent working in specialty assignments that supplement patrol operations. Erick has served as a SWAT operator with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department SWAT Team and the Pima Regional SWAT Team. He was also a K9 handler with the PCSD K9 Unit until promoted to supervisor in 2014. After serving as a patrol supervisor, Erick became the PCSD Search and Rescue supervisor. Since 2018, Sgt. Maldonado has supervised the PCSD K9 Unit and currently works a dual-purpose patrol/detection police service dog.

Prepare your questions for a tail-wagging, educational meeting.

This month's meeting will be live only, not zoomed. We meet LIVE at the "L" Offices, 1840 E. River Road. That's on the southwest corner of Campbell and River, just north of the Rillito River. Look for an office building with a big Long Realty sign and a sign for "L" Offices. Then look for smaller signs leading you to the elevator and our upstairs meeting room. We provide coffee, tea and treats. The meeting runs from 10 - 11:30, with time to chat until noon. Lunch is on your own...there are many nearby cafes. The cost for members is $10, and $15 for non-members. As usual, we'll hold a book raffle to help cover meeting costs, so bring those dollar bills!
