Next Saturday we'll meet live--and via Zoom--and learn effective ways to market and promote ourselves and our books. Author--and AMW member--Laurie Fagen uses a variety of free promotional techniques to market herself and her books online, on her website and in the media. She’ll talk about five ways authors can get free publicity that use their time efficiently and are doable for everyone.
Laurie recommends you bring your smart phone—she’ll tell you why on the day! Our Presenter: Laurie Fagen spent her career as a broadcast and print journalist and writes crime fiction novels about a young radio reporter in her first series, and a seasoned television journalist and photographer in her second.
She completed two seasons of “Murder in the Air Mystery Theatre” podcast with 31 episodes available on her YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@readlauriefagenmurderintheair. She's had short stories published in multiple anthologies, and will be the writing facilitator for a Creative Arts Retreat in Tullamore, Ireland May 29-June 9, 2025. We'll meet LIVE at The "L" Offices, 1840 E. River Road. We'll provide coffee, you provide the questions--and your smart phone.
The meeting will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with time for catching up and enjoying a potluck from 11:30 on. Costs for members is $10, $15 for non-members. Bring extra cash for the book raffle. Raffle proceeds help offset the meeting room costs. Should you have books to donate, bring them as well.
