Wonder no more! Next Saturday, April 13, AMW member and retired Lieutenant Colonel Ryan Oakley will demystify life in the Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) for us. During his JAG career, LtCol Oakley served as a two-time Staff Judge Advocate, Component Number Air Force Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, Deputy Director of the Office of Legal Policy for the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) and academic instructor at the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s School.
Lt Col Oakley will discuss it takes to become a JAG, and how these talented men and women in uniform support our national defense by advising commanders on myriad cutting-edge legal issues. We will receive a VIP tour of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, taking us inside the courtroom. Additionally, he will explain how JAGs serve a pivotal role in promoting the rule of law and ethical compliance across all operations.
