November Meeting

Monthly Meeting On the Second Saturday!

Criminal Investigations
What really happens during criminal investigations? We know what books and movies tell us, but what are investigators actually doing? After evidence is gathered, what are the steps involved in processing it? Sgt. Robert Krygier, a 23-year veteran of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, will answer these questions and more. Sgy Krygier will tell true-life stories from the street and share a behind-the-scenes look at how cases are solved. You don’t want to miss this one!

We’ll have a delicious lunch, and a fun book drawing.

The After-lunch Session is:
From Page to Stage –Ethel Lee Miller
It’s not enough to write and publish THE BOOK. Promote it! Don’t underutilize the most authentic marketing tool–you. Personal interaction is a high performing factor in connecting, whether your goal is to entertain, sell, educate or motivate. Learn how you can use all three–your work, your voice and you, and be perfect together.
Use your voice as a magnet to pull your audience into the key points.
Gestures, body language, posture, dress and visual suggestions enhance your reading or presentation. How should you deal with stage fright, shaky hands, or shaky voice? What are the best ways to use notes, eye contact, use a mic, pace your voice and read aloud? How to prepare with tips that work.

Ethel Lee Miller, MA, DTM, blends her decades of training and professional experiences as a public speaker, teacher, life skills coach and writing coach to present this high energy and very informative program.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a 2-minute practice read.
